(CUMZ). Diagnosis. Medium-sized species, body length 13.0– 14 mm, excluding ovipositor; specimen of Chiang Mai: body length: 13.8 mm; antenna length: 7.3 mm; fore wing length: 8.4 mm; ovipositor length: 10.1 mm; color almost entirely black, A 1 dark reddish orange, legs blackish brown except fore and median tibiae and tarsi dark reddish brown; wings widely infuscate; fore wing widely and irregularly infuscate at base, with an almost complete dark brown band below stigma, apex infuscate; setae whitish; head, from above, 1.4 × wider than long, shiny, vertex with fine, superficial and scattered punctures; gena well developed, subparallel, rounded posteriorly; occipital margin with a wide and deep U-shaped medial occipital groove; occipital carina moderately broad, lamelliform; mesosoma coarsely sculptured, transverse-carinate to areolate-rugose; lateroventral margin of pronotum with one anterior moderately wide, stout, forwarded tooth-like process, posterior margin angulate, slightly tooth shaped; anterior margin of mesonotum, in lateral view, weakly rounded, not overhanging pronotum; hind coxa moderately elongate, 2.3 × longer than wide, transverse-carinate dorsally, polished punctate ventrally; tarsal claw pectinate with four tooth-like processes; metasoma pyriform, strongly compressed; petiole elongate, slender, 3.6 × longer than wide; ovipositor length 1.1 × fore wing length. Distribution. Laos (Bolikhamsai Province) (Turrisi and Smith 2011); Thailand (Chiang Mai province) (present study). Host. Unknown. Molecular data. The DNA barcode of the Thai specimen differs by 12.44 % from the closest Aulacidae sequence in BOLD (BOLD: AFR 2955), which corresponds to P. chiangmaiensis. Our genetic distance analysis corroborated this result, revealing a 14.3 % divergence between P. vilhelmseni and P. chiangmaiensis (Suppl. material 1: table S 2). Remarks. The species is newly recorded from Thailand. It belongs to the Pristaulacus comptipennis species-group (Turrisi and Smith 2011).
