Information from the abstract
This study investigates the structural relationships among Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy, creative thinking capability, learning achievement, and entrepreneurial readiness among prospective Generation Z entrepreneurs in Thailand. Drawing on the growing importance of digital competencies and higher-order cognitive skills in entrepreneurial development, the study employs a quantitative research design using questionnaire data collected from 506 university students. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS 4 was applied to examine both the direct and indirect relationships among the proposed constructs. The empirical results indicate that AI literacy exerts a strong positive influence on creative thinking capability and a moderate positive effect on learning achievement. AI literacy also demonstrates a smaller but statistically significant direct effect on entrepreneurial readiness. Furthermore, creative thinking capability significantly enhances both learning achievement and entrepreneurial readiness, highlighting the role of cognitive flexibility and idea generation in entrepreneurial development. Learning achievement, in turn, emerges as a key predictor of entrepreneurial readiness, suggesting that students’ learning performance and academic engagement contribute meaningfully to their preparedness for entrepreneurial activities. In addition to these direct effects, AI literacy indirectly influences entrepreneurial readiness through the sequential roles of creative thinking capability and learning achievement. Overall, the findings emphasize the importance of integrating AI literacy and creativity-oriented learning strategies into higher education to strengthen students’ entrepreneurial readiness in an increasingly digital and innovation-driven economy. The study extends Human Capital Theory by conceptualizing AI literacy as digital human capital and explaining its sequential contribution to entrepreneurial readiness through creative thinking capability and learning achievement.
