IMPACT SIGNAL85/100

Information from the abstract

This study aims to map the intellectual structure and development of research on the implementation of the rule of law through order and security, with particular attention to its relevance to the Philippine governance context. A qualitative descriptive bibliometric approach was employed to examine scholarly publications retrieved from Dimensions AI, Google Scholar, and selected secondary sources. Bibliographic data were analyzed using VOSviewer to identify publication trends, thematic concentrations, keyword relationships, and patterns of intellectual development. The findings indicate growing scholarly attention to the rule of law, with law and legal studies, human society, and governance emerging as prominent subject areas. The thematic structure further highlights transformation, digitalization, COVID-19, and government roles as increasingly significant topics within contemporary discussions of order and security. The study suggests that order and security are increasingly conceptualized not merely as mechanisms of social stability but as institutional dimensions that interact with legal certainty, governance capacity, and public trust. By integrating bibliometric mapping with contextual interpretation, this study clarifies the intellectual landscape of rule-of-law scholarship and identifies emerging directions for research and policy discussion in the Philippine context.
