Webometrics July 2026 v2 Omits Thailand Rank 1 from Its Public Table; Mahidol Is CR2, World 470 | Thai University Rankings
The public Webometrics July 2026 corrected v2 file does not list country ranks 1, 12 or 15. Mahidol has the best world rank among the 12 published Thai rows but remains CR2/world 470. Chulalongkorn's CR1/world 376 previously shown on this site belongs to the January 2026 edition and must not be mixed into July.
The corrected Version 2 of the July 2026 Ranking Web of Universities was released on Figshare on 6 August 2026. The document describes coverage of more than 32,000 higher education institutions worldwide, with web data collected in early July and research indicators covering 2021–2025. Where did country rank 1 go? Before this update, the site's 2026 page used the January 2026 edition, which listed Chulalongkorn University at CR1 and world rank 376. The current page now reflects July 2026 v2. Chulalongkorn does not appear in the official July file, and CR1, CR12 and CR15 are absent. The publisher gives no institution-level explanation, so the official evidence does not identify July's CR1 and the January result must not be inserted into a different edition.
