A 4D development study piloted an Edpuzzle-plus-authentic-materials model with 10 English Education majors from three Indonesian universities. Learners rated pronunciation tasks at 4.8 and contextual relevance at 4.7, while grammar challenge averaged 3.0. The findings support prototype usability, not proven improvement in IELTS scores.

Affan Phatthanawiwat of Thammasat University contributed to an Indonesia–Thailand collaboration on language-learning technology. All learners were in Indonesia, so the study does not directly establish outcomes for Thai candidates.
Limitations to consider
The sample was only 10 students in one field, with no comparator and perception-heavy outcomes. Three institutions do not overcome the small sample, and dissemination is not equivalent to broad real-world evaluation.
