This multicentre secondary analysis used the validated 2018–2020 TH-SOSGOQ 2.0 database. The full cohort included 68 patients and the reliability/construct-validity cohort 64. Mean age was 57 years and 55.9% were women. Internal consistency was 0.832 and test-retest ICCs ranged from 0.52 to 0.85.
Key findings
- The total score correlated 0.907 with the 27-item version and domain correlations ranged from 0.757 to 1.000. Expected relationships with EQ-5D-5L included physical function with usual activities (0.66) and pain with pain/discomfort (0.63).
Why this matters globally
A short culturally validated instrument can reduce burden in spinal-oncology care and support future Thai QALY and economic evaluation. The localisation approach is relevant to other settings developing population-specific utility measures.

Limitations to consider
The cohort was small and derived from an earlier database. Some ICCs were only moderate. Thai-specific utility weights, responsiveness and broader external validation remain to be established.
