Double-Sided Damping Improves Simulated Seismic Response of Connected Towers
A Krirk-affiliated ABAQUS study compares conventional connected towers with one- and two-sided lead-core-bearing damping layers. Both simulated systems improved energy dissipation, with double-sided damping stronger, while vertical-earthquake control remained limited.
