Microalgae for Grease-Trap Wastewater76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Capability of Phytoplankton (Chlorella vulgaris) Cultivation in Wastewater from Grease Trap

This laboratory study cultivated Chlorella vulgaris in sterilized and settled grease-trap wastewater. A medium containing 1 g/L calcium hydroxide and an initial density of 5×10^6 cells/mL supported the greatest growth, while COD, nitrate, and phosphate declined over seven days.

Biochar, Nitrogen Retention and Leaching76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Biochar-amended and fertilized conditions influences nitrogen retention and loss dynamics: insights from a sandy loam soil column study

A sandy-loam soil-column experiment examined urea with 1–4% corncob biochar by weight. Biochar changed pH, cation-exchange capacity, and water retention. The 3% rate maximized ammonium stabilization in subsoil, whereas 4% produced the highest soil-profile nitrate concentration and increased nitrate leaching, showing that more biochar was not automatically better.

Respiratory Responses to PEEP76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Differential Respiratory Responses to Incremental Positive End-Expiratory Pressure Among Healthy Adults, Cigarette Smokers, Electronic Cigarette Users, and Individuals with Asthma

This secondary analysis compared respiratory responses to 4–12 cmH2O of positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) in 80 adults across four groups: healthy participants, cigarette smokers, e-cigarette users, and people with asthma. Airway pressure, airflow, and chest and abdominal excursion showed different group-by-PEEP responses, whereas tidal volume and global aeration did not show statistically clear differential interactions.

Plastic-Waste Pyrolysis Fuels76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Production of Biogasoline from Plastic Waste through Pyrolysis Using a Temperature-Controlled Condenser Technique

This experiment pyrolyzed plastic waste in a fixed-bed reactor at 500°C, passed vapors through a hot biochar bed, and varied condensation temperature from −10 to −40°C. Lower condensation temperatures increased liquid yield and reduced gas yield while producing a high-heating-value fuel, although compounds such as benzene and toluene require further safety and environmental assessment.

Geothermal Water and Health Risk76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Health risk profiles of heavy metals and radionuclides in geothermal waters and groundwater, Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand: An interannual comparative baseline assessment

A two-period survey of geothermal and groundwater sites in Kanchanaburi, conducted in November 2023 and November 2024, found that mercury and radium-226 at specific thermal sites exceeded Thai or WHO reference values. Modeled non-cancer risk in 2023 was driven by mercury; in 2024 it declined, while arsenic-related cancer risk at some locations remained above a commonly used risk-management level.

Redox Hydrogel Micro-Supercapacitors76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Synergistic Integration of Redox‐Active Deep Eutectic Gel Electrolyte and Hierarchical CNT@ZIF‐Derived Porous Carbon for Advanced Micro‐Supercapacitors

A Thai–Taiwan team developed a redox-active hydrogel electrolyte containing LiClO4, DMSO, water, and K3[Fe(CN)6], paired with CNT@ZIF-derived porous carbon electrodes for micro-supercapacitors. The laboratory device achieved a 2.5 V operating window, high areal capacitance and energy, and operation at −20°C.

Fetal Lung Volume and RDS Risk76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Antenatal Fetal Lung Volume for Predicting Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Diagnostic Accuracy

A seven-study diagnostic meta-analysis involving 900 pregnancies estimated antenatal ultrasound fetal-lung-volume sensitivity at 88%, specificity at 82%, and HSROC AUC at 0.93 for neonatal respiratory distress syndrome. Heterogeneity exceeded 75% and definitions and cut-offs varied, so FLV remains an exploratory adjunct rather than a stand-alone test.

Feed Mycotoxins and Plant Antifungals76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

A multi-barrier defence strategy using plant-derived antifungals against mycotoxigenic fungi in livestock feed

An integrative review proposes three author-developed frameworks—Multi-Barrier Phytogenic Defence, Resistance-Indexed Phytochemical Selection, and a Translational Readiness Score—to organise evidence on thymol, eugenol, cinnamaldehyde, citral, curcumin, and resveratrol against mycotoxigenic feed fungi. These are conceptual tools, not externally validated standards.

Outcome-Based Language Teaching in EMI Listening: Balancing Accountability With Ungraded Supports for Low-Proficiency Learners

A three-year reform of an EMI listening course involving 533 low-proficiency STEM students found that graded accountability alone was insufficient. Adding collaborative, voluntary, and reflective ungraded supports coincided with lower failure risk, sustained voluntary engagement, and stronger strategic awareness. Cohort-based reform does not prove that the supports caused the changes.

Set Prediction for Outpatient Diagnosis Coding with Sparse Mahalanobis Conformal Scoring

Sparse Mahalanobis Conformal Scoring was evaluated on approximately eight million outpatient visits and up to 12,829 diagnosis labels. It achieved Micro-F1 close to the strongest threshold comparator and the highest exact-match ratio among flexible-size rules, while retaining smaller regions and fewer labels than other nonconformity scores. This supports coding assistance, not unattended automated coding.

Aquatic-Weed Biochar and Stevia76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Invasive Asian water moss (Salvinia cucullata) biochar modulates selected steviol glycoside biosynthesis-related gene expression and drought-associated physiological responses in Stevia

A Chiang Mai University greenhouse study found that Salvinia cucullata biochar was associated with higher KAH and UGT76G1 expression, modestly lower UGT74G1, reduced stevioside, and relatively stable rebaudioside A. Plant architecture changed under selected drought conditions, but leaf area, total biomass, and root weight did not consistently improve, indicating profile modulation rather than proven yield enhancement.

Endometrial Receptivity Proteomics76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Proteomic profiling of isolated mouse endometrial epithelial cells reveals coordinated redox and endoplasmic reticulum stress-associated pathways during uterine receptivity

Comparing isolated mouse endometrial epithelial cells on pregnancy days 1 and 4, researchers found 80 differentially expressed spots among approximately 674 and identified 52 proteins. Day 4 showed coordinated antioxidant and ER-stress-associated increases, with Gstm2 elevated at protein and transcript levels. This is a candidate pathway map, not proof that Gstm2 controls human implantation.
