Non‐Enzymatic Browning Under Emerging Cooking Technologies: Matrix‐Dependent Pathways, Neoformed Compounds, and Nutritional–Toxicological Trade‐Offs

This review explains how Maillard chemistry, caramelization, ascorbic-acid degradation, and lipid-oxidation pathways interact across air frying, sous-vide, microwave, ohmic, infrared, radio-frequency, pressure-assisted, and hybrid cooking. Outcomes depend on food matrix and process conditions, not technology labels alone.

Diagnostic accuracy of reticulocyte haemoglobin content in detecting iron deficiency without anaemia in blood donors: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

A systematic review and diagnostic meta-analysis of 13 studies and 5,853 blood donors evaluated reticulocyte haemoglobin content for iron deficiency without anaemia. Pooled sensitivity was 0.70 and specificity 0.85, but certainty was very low to low, insufficient for widespread standalone screening.

Mechanism of injury influences early microbial trajectories and infection pathways in open fractures: A 16S rDNA study

A prospective cohort of 155 patients with open fractures used deep-tissue 16S rDNA profiling to examine whether sharp versus blunt injury mechanisms were associated with different early microbial communities and pathways toward fracture-related infection. Overall infection rates did not differ, but early community patterns did.

Durian Varieties, Their Breeding and Intellectual Property Perspectives in Southeast Asia with Special References to Thailand

This review and perspective synthesizes durian varieties, breeding, and intellectual-property protection in Southeast Asia, with particular attention to Thailand, reported to have earned US$4.4 billion from the market in 2024. It highlights limited genetic-diversity evidence, long generation times, environmental sensitivity, and plant-variety-rights enforcement challenges.

Dissecting Yield Architecture and Trait Interactions in Rice Using Integrative Multivariate Selection Index and Phenotypic Similarity Analysis

Twenty-one rice genotypes were tested in a randomized block design with three replicates, using quantitative genetics and multivariate statistics to identify yield-related traits and breeding candidates. Biomass and grains per panicle emerged as major yield determinants within this experiment.

Stoichiometry Driven cPINN Modeling of Phenol Synthesis: Application in Enzyme Mediated, Biosynthetic Pathways, Bioengineering and Pharmaceutical Sciences

This study proposes a causal physics-informed neural network for phenol synthesis through alkaline fusion and acidification. Physical laws and stoichiometric constraints are embedded in the loss function to learn concentration trajectories and kinetic parameters for a stiff nonlinear reaction system.

Sonographic Measurements of the Interscapular Soft Tissue for Rhomboid Major Trigger Point Injection in Thai Population

This study used ultrasound in 84 healthy volunteers to measure skin-to-rhomboid and skin-to-pleura distances and derive BMI- and sex-stratified reference margins for trigger-point injection when real-time ultrasound is unavailable. The aim is risk reduction, not proof that landmark-guided injection is equivalent to image guidance.

Ethanolic Leaf Extract of Annona muricata Pauses Plasmodium knowlesi Schizogony and Reduces Binding of Infected Red Blood Cells to Endothelial Cells

In vitro experiments evaluated ethanolic soursop-leaf extract against zoonotic Plasmodium knowlesi. The extract inhibited blood-stage development with a reported IC50 of 9.65 micrograms per milliliter and reduced binding of infected red blood cells to endothelial cells. The effect was parasitostatic rather than parasite-killing and is not evidence of efficacy in patients.

Two new species and a new record of crustose lichens from Thailand

Taxonomists describe two new crustose lichen species from Thailand, Astrochapsa pruinosa and Ramonia sirindhorniana, and report Acanthothecis tetraphora for the first time in Asia. Diagnoses rely on reproductive structures and ascospore number, size, and form.

Preliminary Effect of Dual Plasticization and Fiber Size on Cornstalk Fiber-Reinforced PLA/PBS Biocomposites Properties

This preliminary study reinforces a PLA/PBS blend with agricultural-waste cornstalk fibers and uses polyethylene glycol plus triacetin as dual plasticizers. It compares fiber fractions at or below versus above 75 micrometers and plasticizer contents of 5, 7.5, and 10 wt%.

An Adaptive Spectral Conjugate Gradient Method With Integrated Conjugacy Conditions and Its Application

This computational-mathematics paper proposes a revised RMIL parameter and three spectral conjugate-gradient variants for unconstrained nonlinear optimization. It establishes descent and convergence properties under stated assumptions and evaluates the methods on benchmark problems and a portfolio-selection model.

Size-dependent nonlinear vibration problem of piezoelectric graphene origami auxetic metamaterial sandwich microplates under coupled thermo-fluid-viscoelastic multi-physics

This study develops a unified analytical framework for size-dependent nonlinear vibration of a sandwich microplate with a graphene-origami auxetic core and piezoelectric layers under coupled thermal, fluid, and viscoelastic-foundation effects. It derives nonlinear frequency-amplitude responses and explores design-parameter sensitivity; the evidence is computational and analytical rather than experimental.
