Leucaena leucocephala fermented with Lactiplantibacillus plantarum TISTR1284 as a sustainable fishmeal substitute enhances immune responses and resistance to Aeromonas hydrophila infection in giant freshwater prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii)

Giant freshwater prawns received control diets or 10% and 20% fishmeal replacement with L. plantarum TISTR1284-fermented Leucaena for two weeks. Fermented diets increased immune markers and reduced post-A. hydrophila mortality by 26.14%, with normal intestinal morphology.

Biopsy-confirmed Mycobacterium kansasii peritonitis with CT peritoneography in a young PD patient: a case report

A 20-year-old man on automated peritoneal dialysis developed vague abdominal symptoms, weight loss and declining ultrafiltration. Repeated dialysate cultures, acid-fast staining and molecular tests were negative despite mononuclear-predominant leukocytosis. Contrast CT identified peritoneal nodules, CT peritoneography showed a trapped dialysate pocket, and targeted biopsy demonstrated necrotising granulomatous inflammation. Tissue culture grew M. kansasii resistant to rifampicin, moxifloxacin and ciprofloxacin.

Bridging the global Parkinson's divide: Technology as a structural solution for equitable and brain health-integrated care

An eight-country perspective argues that telemedicine, wearables and home sensors, augmented AI and mobile health can distribute expertise, observe symptoms between visits and support self-management, particularly where neurologists are scarce. Impact depends on infrastructure, interoperability, workforce, governance and equity-first hybrid care, not devices alone.
