Enhancing Marigold Seed Quality During Storage Through Fungicide Pelleting and Suppression of Pythium sp. at the Seedling Stage

A four-replicate completely randomized experiment evaluated fungicides for marigold seed pelleting. Mancozeb at 0.4 g active ingredient and fosetyl-aluminium at 0.1 g were selected as suitable treatments. Mancozeb at 0.4 g improved germination, vigor and seedling growth, and maintained laboratory germination and greenhouse viability after two months under controlled and ambient storage while suppressing Pythium.

Comparing Robust Image Retrieval and Waste Classification Using Deep Learning and Geometric Transformations

Using a custom dataset of 1,000 images in 10 waste classes, the study compared three ResNet backbones, three classifier heads and three losses. ResNet50 with a DenseNet201-based head and ArcFace achieved 98.4% accuracy, 98.3% F1 and 98.1% retrieval mAP, remaining stable under rotation and scaling. ResNet34 with a fully connected head and ArcFace offered a lighter performance-complexity trade-off.

Determinants of Oral Health System Effectiveness for Preschool Children in Decentralized Child Development Centres: A Cross-Sectional Study in Northeastern Thailand

A cross-sectional study in Ubon Ratchathani surveyed 270 stakeholders and used dental records from 498 preschool children. Perceived system effectiveness was high (mean 4.01/5), yet caries prevalence was 57.83%. Service-delivery processes and home visits were significant predictors, but the model explained only 11.1% of variance and the system score was partly perception-based.

First Report of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense tropical race 4 (VCG 01213/16) causing Fusarium wilt on banana in Bangladesh

After wilt symptoms appeared in five Bangladeshi districts in early 2025, 21 pseudostem samples were cultured. Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense tropical race 4 was confirmed by morphology, specific PCR and vegetative compatibility group 01213/16. Nineteen isolates caused typical disease within four weeks in Cavendish plantlets, controls remained healthy, and the pathogen was reisolated to complete Koch’s postulates.

A thermodynamically consistent strain-gradient model for functionally graded nanobeams with composite damage mechanics on elastic substrate medium

This theoretical study develops a thermodynamically consistent strain-gradient model for functionally graded Euler-Bernoulli nanobeams on a Winkler foundation. Damage is assigned to the ceramic phase while the metal remains intact. Voigt, Reuss and a proposed effective-property formulation are compared in analytical static-bending solutions. Damage lowers stiffness and increases deflection, while greater ceramic content and foundation stiffness increase rigidity; the proposed response remains between the Voigt and Reuss bounds.

Synthesis, structural, optical, and electrical properties of L-methioninium nitrate for optoelectronic applications

Single crystals of L-methioninium nitrate were grown by slow evaporation from a 1:1 L-methionine/nitric-acid mixture. X-ray diffraction identified a monoclinic structure with low lattice strain. FTIR supported molecular assignment, photoluminescence showed a broad 330-550 nm emission, and impedance analysis indicated bulk-dominated conduction, non-Debye relaxation and low high-frequency dielectric loss. Second-harmonic generation was also assessed by the Kurtz-Perry powder method.

Topical mosquito repellency of a Litsea cubeba essential oil spray against Aedes aegypti, Anopheles dirus, and Culex quinquefasciatus

MosShield, a ready-to-use spray containing 6% Litsea cubeba essential oil, underwent formulation quality checks and a skin-patch test in 48 healthy volunteers, with no visible reaction through 96 hours. WHO arm-in-cage tests produced median complete protection times of 225 minutes against Culex quinquefasciatus and 120 minutes against both Aedes aegypti and Anopheles dirus. These are laboratory, not field-effectiveness, results.

Efficacy and safety of needle-free jet injection of self-crosslinking hyaluronic acid for facial fine wrinkles and skin texture: 12-week clinical outcomes in Asian women

Thirty Asian women aged 40-55 with Fitzpatrick III-IV skin received three needle-free jet sessions of self-crosslinking hyaluronic acid at four-week intervals. At week 12, 3D wrinkle and texture measures improved across malar and pericommissural regions; investigator severity fell from 7.28 to 4.32, and 60% reported moderate-to-marked improvement. Treatment reactions were mild and transient. The single-arm design cannot separate treatment effects from time or expectation.

Climate thresholds and yield elasticity of durian, mangosteen, and coffee under hydroclimatic variability in Thailand

Meteorological observations from 56 stations were linked to provincial yields during 2008-2024 using nonlinear, lagged, elasticity and climate-risk analyses. Simple correlations were generally weak. Nonlinear models suggested approximate temperature turning points of 28.0 C for durian, 27.3 C for mangosteen and 26.6 C for coffee, with humidity turning points around 76-78%. The authors correctly frame these as statistical response indicators, not fixed physiological optima.

Pristaulacus chiangmaiensis Turrisi & Ghafouri Moghaddam 2026, sp. nov.

Pristaulacus chiangmaiensis is described as a new species from a female holotype in Huai Nam Dang National Park, Chiang Mai, and a female paratype from Doi Phu Kha National Park, Nan. Diagnostic evidence combines black-orange coloration, head and occipital-groove shape, a long petiole and an ovipositor 1.3 times forewing length. The paratype barcode differed 12.95% from the nearest BOLD Aulacidae sequence, with a reported 14.3% distance from P. vilhelmseni, complementing morphology.

Pristaulacus erythrocephalus Cameron 1905

This treatment documents Pristaulacus erythrocephalus using a male from Songkhla and a female from Khao Pu-Khao Ya National Park, Trang. The large wasp has a reddish-orange head and thorax with black posterior structures and diagnostic morphology. A Thai barcode differed 18.51% from its nearest Aulacidae sequence in BOLD. The record supports a wider Southeast Asian distribution; the host is unknown.

Pristaulacus vilhelmseni Turrisi & Smith 2011

Pristaulacus vilhelmseni is newly recorded from Thailand based on a female from Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai; its holotype is from Laos. Diagnostic traits include a mostly black body, dark wing band, U-shaped occipital groove, slender petiole and an ovipositor 1.1 times forewing length. The Thai barcode showed a reported 14.3% divergence from P. chiangmaiensis, extending the known range across the Mekong region.
