Performance evaluation of a two-arm robotic chemotherapy compounding system: Effects of syringe size and compounding cycles on accuracy, efficiency, and safety margins

A retrospective analysis of 7,922 intravenous chemotherapy preparations during the first year of a two-arm robot at Maha Vajiralongkorn Thanyaburi Hospital found a mean volume error of -1.19 ± 1.32% and mean preparation time of 11.86 ± 3.47 minutes. Smaller syringes and more cycles tended toward slight under-delivery, but all deviations remained within the study's ±5% acceptance threshold.

AI-Based Hybrid Deep Learning for Multiscale Red Tilapia Weight-Range Classification Using UAV Imagery

This study classified red-tilapia weight ranges from UAV imagery using CNN-XGBoost and EfficientNet-B0-XGBoost hybrids. On 5×5 m images preserving cage context, CNN-XGBoost reached 98.8% mean accuracy and was far faster than EfficientNet. With context-limited 2×2 m images, EfficientNet-XGBoost performed better at 90.0%. Cross-farm, seasonal and water-condition validation is still needed.

Entropy generation analysis of radiative magnetohydrodynamic Maxwell hybrid ternary nanofluid flow over an inclined porous sheet

This mathematical study modelled a Maxwell ternary nanofluid over an inclined stretching sheet in porous media under magnetic, radiative and suction effects. Parameter sweeps described changes in velocity, temperature and entropy generation. No physical nanofluid or solar-energy device was experimentally tested.

Stability prediction of footings on slopes with dense sand using Bolton model, FELA, XGBoost, Random Forest, and Evolutionary Polynomial Regression

This study generated a numerical database using finite-element limit analysis with the Bolton model, then trained XGBoost, Random Forest and evolutionary polynomial regression to predict the Nγ bearing-capacity factor for strip footings on dense sand slopes. XGBoost test R² values were 0.994, 0.943 and 0.953 at 15°, 30° and 45° slopes, but accuracy was measured against simulations within the same modelling framework, not field data.

Modification of Silicone Materials in T-Shaped Macular Buckling Surgery

A retrospective series of 22 patients describes modifying standard silicone into a T-shaped macular buckle, allowing posterior-pole indentation without forcing material deep into the temporal sclera. At 12 months all retinas were reattached and no macular atrophy was reported, with visual improvement in the macular-detachment subgroup. There was no comparator, and adjunct procedures varied.

Design of a cost-effective hybrid-magnet multi-flux barrier IPM motor for rare-earth usage reduction in electric vehicles

This study designed an interior permanent-magnet motor combining rare-earth and ferrite magnets with a multi-flux-barrier rotor. Multi-objective optimisation reduced rare-earth magnet use by about 11% and estimated material cost by 7.14%, improving torque-per-cost by 7.43%, while simulations retained back-EMF, torque and efficiency close to the benchmark.

Sustainable thermal insulating geopolymer blocks from palm oil waste and surgical face masks: effects of alumina and curing on performance

This laboratory study produced geopolymer blocks from palm-oil ash and clinker, incorporating shredded surgical masks and varying alumina content. A formulation with 2% mask material and 2.5% alumina reached 7.11 MPa compressive strength after 28 days of heat curing and showed lower thermal conductivity than conventional concrete blocks and fired-clay bricks in the reported tests. Durability, fire safety and leaching still require validation.

Mortality effect of albumin fluid resuscitation in adults with septic shock: a systematic review and dual frequentist–bayesian meta-analysis of randomised trials

A systematic review and meta-analysis of seven randomised trials involving 3,273 adults found albumin-based resuscitation associated with a 10% relative reduction in mortality versus crystalloid at the longest follow-up. The confidence interval approached no effect and part of the evidence came from subgroups, leading the authors to rate certainty as low by GRADE.

Determination of Organophosphate, Carbamate, and Pyrethroid Pesticide Residues in Vegetables from Hotpot and Shabu Sectors and Local Markets within Bangkok

A survey of 85 vegetable samples from 12 hotpot/shabu restaurants and five Bangkok markets produced several positive screening-test signals for organophosphates, carbamates or pyrethroids. Confirmatory LC-MS/MS detected no residues above the detection limit in positive samples. The sampled set therefore showed low confirmed risk, but this does not prove that all Bangkok vegetables are residue-free.

Antimicrobial activity of plasma-activated water against Paenibacillus larvae, the causative agent of American foulbrood

This study tested air- and argon-generated plasma-activated water against vegetative Paenibacillus larvae, the cause of American foulbrood. Both formulations damaged bacterial membranes, reduced culturability and improved larval survival in an infection model. Resistant spores and field effectiveness in colonies were not established.

Effective Butanol Production from Sugarcane Molasses by Immobilized Clostridium beijerinckii in Batch and Fed-Batch Fermentations Integrated with Product Recovery

This fermentation study immobilised Clostridium beijerinckii TISTR 1461 on lotus-stalk pieces to produce acetone-butanol-ethanol from sugarcane molasses. Ammonium-acetate buffering and a fed-batch process integrated with gas stripping performed best, reaching 23.04 g/L total butanol and 0.64 g/L/h productivity.

Tempeh-Derived Savory Powders as Ingredients to Compensate Sodium Reduction in Vegetable Broth

This experimental study tested four tempeh-derived powders as flavour-enhancing ingredients in vegetable broths with 20% or 30% sodium reduction. Overripe tempeh powder performed best: the 30%-reduced formulation retained overall liking that was not significantly different from the full-salt control. The evidence concerns a prototype broth and consumer sensory responses, not clinical health outcomes.
