Microbial Diversity and Chemical Dynamics in Karanda Juice Kefir During Fermentation

Thai researchers used karanda juice as a water-kefir substrate and tracked microbial and chemical changes during fermentation. Lactobacillus and Saccharomyces were dominant genera, formic acid was the main organic acid, and valeric acid was detected alongside trace short-chain acids.

Effect of Hot-Air Drying Temperature on the Physicochemical, Functional, Compositional, and Structural Properties of Catfish (Clarias macrocephalus × C. gariepinus) Powder

Hot-air drying of hybrid catfish powder at 60-180 degrees Celsius revealed multiple trade-offs. Higher temperatures reduced moisture and microbes but increased oxidation and loss of valuable fatty acids and functional properties. The authors judged 120 degrees the best balance under the tested conditions.

Artificial intelligence and machine learning for detecting suicidal ideation and related suicide outcomes among adolescents: A scoping review

A PRISMA-ScR scoping review searched four databases and found only eight original studies from 2016-2026 applying AI or machine learning to adolescent suicidal ideation, plans, or attempts. Tree and ensemble models showed promising internal performance, but evidence was heterogeneous and insufficient for routine clinical use.

Optimisation of natural fibre surface on soil-fibre morphology and geomechanical performance of reinforced soil

A geotechnical study coated sisal fibers with polyaniline to reduce moisture uptake and dimensional change. The coating increased hydrophobic behavior and moisture loss, yet coated fibers had lower interfacial shear strength than untreated fibers at optimum moisture after three days of curing.

A Preliminary Study on Evaluating Reparative Regeneration Potential of Human Amniotic Fluid Stem Cells Spheres in Stress Urinary Incontinence Rats

A preliminary rat study compared human amniotic-fluid stem cells delivered as single cells versus spheres after pudendal-nerve injury. Approximately 150-micrometer spheres formed over 16-20 hours produced better leak-point pressure and intercontraction intervals than single cells.

Continuous Monophasic Production of Pharmaceutical-Grade 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural from Sugar Syrup

Thai researchers developed a continuous monophasic process for producing 5-hydroxymethylfurfural directly from sugarcane syrup, using citric acid instead of mineral acid and screening lower-toxicity solvents. Optimized selectivity reached 43.9%, and adsorption plus solvent evaporation yielded 99% purity.

Building sustainable workplaces: The role of organizational climate and recognition on employee task performance in Vietnamese SMEsThis research aims to study the relationships between Organizational Climate and Task Performance through Organizational Recognition in the context of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Da Nang, Vietnam. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to examine the direct and indirect (mediated) relationships among the independent variables, the mediator, and the dependent variable. The population of this study is individual employees in SMEs; 402 respondents were obtained through a convenience and volunteer sampling method. The empirical results demonstrated an excellent model fit. The path analysis revealed that all four dimensions of Organizational Climate had significant positive direct effects on Organizational Recognition (p < 0.001), and that Organizational Recognition was significantly associated with Task Performance. Bootstrap analysis with 5000 resamples and bias-corrected 95 % confidence intervals indicated that all four indirect effects through Organizational Recognition were statistically significant. Standard of Work was fully mediated by Organizational Recognition, whereas Organizational Structure, Responsibility, and Commitment were partially mediated, retaining significant direct associations with Task Performance. These results suggest that, in the SME context of Da Nang, Organizational Recognition is an important mechanism through which a supportive climate is associated with employee performance. The study provides insights for SME management seeking to strengthen recognition practices as part of a more humane and socially sustainable work environment.
