Drying-Induced Structural and Oxidative Transformations in Sustainable Proteins: Impact on Physicochemical Properties and Flavor-Binding Functionality

This review proposes a structure-process-function framework explaining how hot-air, heat-pump, microwave, and freeze-drying differently unfold, aggregate, and oxidize plant and marine proteins, changing how volatile flavors are bound, retained, and released.

Ultrasound-Activated Metal–Organic Frameworks Incorporated Polyacrylonitrile Nanofibers Promote Macrophage Inflammation

Researchers embedded a manganese-titanium metal-organic framework in polyacrylonitrile nanofibers to convert ultrasound into electrical stimulation. The composite generated a peak 0.24 V and, under ultrasound in RAW-Blue cells, activated NF-kB, TNF-alpha, IL-6, and transient calcium influx.

Immune‐Related Prognostic Gene Identification in Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma With the Cancer Genome Atlas Mining and Immunohistochemistry Validation

Mining TCGA lung squamous-cell carcinoma data identified 517 immune-score-associated genes and 21 linked to survival. Across GEO and tissue validation, FBXO2 and IQGAP2 showed more consistent survival associations than AP1S2 and CLEC10A.

Dental implant nanotopography for peri-implant tissue stability: soft-tissue sealing, innate immune calibration, and active biointerface regulation

This narrative review proposes that implant and abutment nanotopography can simultaneously influence epithelial and fibroblast attachment, extracellular matrix, microbial retention, macrophages and neutrophils, and osteocyte networks that shape peri-implant tissue stability.

Prognostic biomarkers for enhanced risk stratification in extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma: a retrospective cohort study

A Siriraj-Yale team profiled RNA from 12 molecularly confirmed extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcomas, split into six good- and six poor-prognosis cases. A PXN-TYMS-H1FX signature separated survival in training data, but internal validation explicitly indicated overfitting.

Expanding knowledge of Oriental Aulacidae (Hymenoptera, Evanioidea): An integrative taxonomic approach of the genus Pristaulacus Kieffer from Thailand, with a new record and description of a new species

Researchers reviewed the Thai genus Pristaulacus and recognized 17 species. An integrative taxonomic approach described the new P. chiangmaiensis, recorded P. vilhelmseni from Thailand for the first time, and produced updated diagnoses, images, an identification key, distribution map, and Oriental checklist.

Augmented Heat Transfer and Pressure Loss Characteristics of Sawtooth-Modified Transverse Baffles in a Rectangular Channel

Experiments in a rectangular channel representing gas-turbine blade cooling tested transverse baffles with triangular sawtooth openings. Nusselt numbers rose to 1.6-2.6 times a smooth channel, but friction factors increased 8.9-14.9 times, exposing a heat-transfer versus pumping-loss trade-off.

Microbial Diversity and Chemical Dynamics in Karanda Juice Kefir During Fermentation

Thai researchers used karanda juice as a water-kefir substrate and tracked microbial and chemical changes during fermentation. Lactobacillus and Saccharomyces were dominant genera, formic acid was the main organic acid, and valeric acid was detected alongside trace short-chain acids.

Effect of Hot-Air Drying Temperature on the Physicochemical, Functional, Compositional, and Structural Properties of Catfish (Clarias macrocephalus × C. gariepinus) Powder

Hot-air drying of hybrid catfish powder at 60-180 degrees Celsius revealed multiple trade-offs. Higher temperatures reduced moisture and microbes but increased oxidation and loss of valuable fatty acids and functional properties. The authors judged 120 degrees the best balance under the tested conditions.

Drivers of fruit and vegetable intake among Buddhist monks in Bangkok: A mixed-methods study

A mixed-methods study of Bangkok Buddhist monks used 203 questionnaire interviews and nine in-depth interviews. Average fruit and vegetable intake was 279 g/day, below the WHO 400-g and EAT-Lancet 500-g benchmarks, with availability, self-efficacy, intention, and support shaping intake.

Artificial intelligence and machine learning for detecting suicidal ideation and related suicide outcomes among adolescents: A scoping review

A PRISMA-ScR scoping review searched four databases and found only eight original studies from 2016-2026 applying AI or machine learning to adolescent suicidal ideation, plans, or attempts. Tree and ensemble models showed promising internal performance, but evidence was heterogeneous and insufficient for routine clinical use.
