Barriers and Facilitators to Point-of-Care Ultrasound Utilization Among Emergency Medicine Residents and Emergency Nurse Practitioners Following Institutional Training

At Srinagarind Hospital's emergency department, Khon Kaen University, this study included 16 emergency-medicine residents and 60 emergency nurse practitioners who completed institutional POCUS training during 2024–2025, plus 2,097 electronically archived examinations over a standardized one-month observation per provider. Residents had higher mean competency scores. Both groups identified workload and time, limited equipment, and interpretive confidence as major barriers, while nurse practitioners reported greater concern about institutional support and medicolegal risk. Competency and provider type were associated with more recorded examinations, while patient volume was associated with fewer. The study did not assess image quality, diagnostic accuracy, treatment decisions, or patient outcomes.

Cost-effectiveness Analysis of Intra-articular Injection of Plasma Rich in Growth Factors for Knee Osteoarthritis in the Aging Population Who Failed Conservative Treatment

This retrospective economic evaluation followed 197 Thai Buddhist monks aged at least 55 years with Kellgren–Lawrence grade II–IV knee osteoarthritis after failed conservative care and a PRGF injection. WOMAC scores were mapped to utility with the Barton algorithm. Mean utility rose from 0.5957 at baseline to 0.7252 at month 6, then declined to 0.6660 at month 12. PRGF cost THB 6,000 versus literature-derived estimates of THB 3,762.64 for NSAIDs and THB 7,719.78 for celecoxib. The six-month ICER was THB 41,059.01 per utility gain versus NSAIDs and −THB 36,212.45 versus celecoxib. The drug groups were not contemporaneous controls and the outcome was not a QALY, so Thailand's willingness-to-pay threshold cannot be applied.

Can a “Sinful” Brand Be Loved? Examining Corporate Evaluations and CSR Domain Perceptions as Drivers of Brand Love and Purchase Intention in Controversial Industries

A survey of 436 Thai beer consumers used covariance-based structural equation modelling to examine links among corporate evaluations, perceptions of four CSR domains, brand love and purchase intention. Favourable corporate evaluations were positively associated with perceptions of consumer-, society-, community- and environment-focused CSR. Only consumer- and society-focused CSR perceptions were positively associated with brand love; community and environmental perceptions were not. Brand love statistically mediated links from the first two domains to purchase intention. The study supports treating CSR as multidimensional, but does not establish causality or actual purchases and should not be used to minimise alcohol-related health risks.

Bibliometric Analysis of Islamic Tourism in Malaysia and Thailand: Thematic Evolution and Emerging Trends (1995–2025)

This review assembled 420 publications on Islamic tourism in Malaysia and Thailand from 1995–2025 after screening and cleaning. It described a foundational phase in 1995–2009 focused on definitions and Muslim travelers' needs, an expansion phase in 2010–2019 centered on management, halal certification, service quality, and destinations, and an integration phase in 2020–2025 adding sustainability, digital innovation, halal gastronomy, and post-pandemic adaptation. Tourism management represented 45.2% of publications, halal certification 23.8%, and destination studies 18.7%. Malaysian literature emphasized halal governance and Shariah compliance, whereas Thai work emphasized cultural sensitivity, Muslim-minority participation, and cross-cultural service.

From AR and VR Experience Quality to Revisit Intention: Cultural Pathways at the National Museum of China

A survey of 520 Chinese adult visitors who had experienced both AR and VR at the National Museum of China distinguished the quality of the two technologies and tested a culturally ordered path model. AR and VR experience quality were positively associated with perceived value, which was associated with satisfaction and place attachment. Place attachment was associated with Chinese cultural identity and historical nostalgia, and both were associated with revisit intention. Four sequential indirect associations differed statistically from zero but were small, while cultural involvement modestly strengthened the place-attachment–Chinese-identity association.

Yoom Noon Rice Extracts Inhibit Colorectal Cancer Cells In Vitro, Not Yet a Treatment

Researchers from the universities of Phayao, Mahidol, and Walailak tested polished and unpolished Yoom Noon rice extracts in HCT116 and HT29 colorectal cancer cells. They observed reduced viability, apoptosis, cell-cycle arrest, and lower migration/invasion in vitro, plus genotoxicity and anti-genotoxicity signals in V79 cells. These crude-extract, cell-based results cannot support dietary or cancer-treatment recommendations.

Vacancy-Engineered Blue Phosphorene May Trap Polyselenides, but Evidence Is Computational

KMITL-affiliated researchers used density functional theory to evaluate single-vacancy blue phosphorene as a host for sodium polyselenides in Na–Se batteries. The model predicted stronger binding, greater charge transfer and orbital hybridization, retained metallic character, and a more favorable conversion pathway. It proposes a host-material candidate but does not demonstrate synthesis or battery performance.

Ease, Usefulness, and Enjoyment Track Continued Kahoot! Intention, Not Learning Gains

Researchers surveyed 519 Bangkok high-school students with prior Kahoot! experience in Chinese-as-a-foreign-language classes and analyzed an extended expectation–confirmation model incorporating usefulness, ease, enjoyment, and interactivity. Several perceptions were associated with satisfaction and continued-use intention, but this was not a randomized trial, did not measure language achievement, and cannot show that Kahoot! improved learning.

Development and validation of the digital eye strain scale for children (DESS-C) aged 2–8 years: a Rasch Analysis

This study developed DESS-C, a caregiver-reported screening scale for digital eye-strain symptoms in children aged 2–8 years, using 533 caregiver–child dyads from Thai schools. Classical item analysis and Rasch modelling reduced a 30-item field version to 27 items. Test–retest reliability and correlation with a reference questionnaire were strong; ROC AUC was 0.91 with a candidate cutoff of 7 or above. DESS-C is a caregiver screening instrument, not an ophthalmic diagnosis or evidence that screen use caused the symptoms.

Cross-cultural de-centring of Recovery College tools: a 20-country Delphi study

At least 264 Recovery Colleges have been identified in 31 countries, yet the RECOLLECT tools used to define and assess the model originated in a high-income Anglophone context. A two-round Delphi used cross-cultural de-centring: 54 panellists from 20 countries rated importance and cultural difficulty, with free text examined through corpus-informed linguistic analysis. Core principles were endorsed, but terms including co-production, recovery, professionals, and shifting the balance of power were interpreted inconsistently. After revision, 41 panellists from 15 countries reached consensus on all 11 items for understandability and cultural appropriateness.

Air Travel Demand Under Intermodal Competition: A Structural Analysis of Air–Rail Choice in Lao People’s Democratic Republic

This survey of 343 Lao and international passengers at Wattay International, Luang Prabang, and Oudomxay airports examined air demand in the context of competition with the Laos–China railway; 85.4% of respondents had used that railway. A WLSMV structural-equation model linked perceived air-travel effectiveness with the air-travel decision, the decision with satisfaction, and satisfaction with reuse or recommendation intention. Effectiveness had no significant direct association with satisfaction. The results support a multi-stage process among air passengers but do not measure actual ticket purchases or revealed mode choice among rail passengers.

Efficiencies of Single-Objective Linear Programing and Multi-Objective Optimization: A Case of Electricity Generation in Thailand

A King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi team compared single-objective linear programming with genetic-algorithm multi-objective optimisation using Thailand's 2024 generation data across 12 source/technology categories and three objectives: unit cost, greenhouse-gas emissions and employment. Three separate LP runs totalled about 0.6 seconds, versus about 4 seconds for MOO, with both using roughly 3,500–3,800 MB. LP produced each objective's extreme optimum, including THB 2,684.14/MWh and 373.00 kgCO2e/MWh, while MOO generated a simultaneous compromise. Potential savings of THB 69,538.44 million, 14.782 MtCO2e and about 638 additional jobs are model scenarios, not realised system outcomes.

Building sustainable workplaces: The role of organizational climate and recognition on employee task performance in Vietnamese SMEsThis research aims to study the relationships between Organizational Climate and Task Performance through Organizational Recognition in the context of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Da Nang, Vietnam. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to examine the direct and indirect (mediated) relationships among the independent variables, the mediator, and the dependent variable. The population of this study is individual employees in SMEs; 402 respondents were obtained through a convenience and volunteer sampling method. The empirical results demonstrated an excellent model fit. The path analysis revealed that all four dimensions of Organizational Climate had significant positive direct effects on Organizational Recognition (p < 0.001), and that Organizational Recognition was significantly associated with Task Performance. Bootstrap analysis with 5000 resamples and bias-corrected 95 % confidence intervals indicated that all four indirect effects through Organizational Recognition were statistically significant. Standard of Work was fully mediated by Organizational Recognition, whereas Organizational Structure, Responsibility, and Commitment were partially mediated, retaining significant direct associations with Task Performance. These results suggest that, in the SME context of Da Nang, Organizational Recognition is an important mechanism through which a supportive climate is associated with employee performance. The study provides insights for SME management seeking to strengthen recognition practices as part of a more humane and socially sustainable work environment.
