Cholangiocarcinoma Cell Biology77IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

A Comparative Analysis of the Action Mechanisms of Cannabidiol, Cannabigerol, and Cannabinol in Human Cholangiocarcinoma Cell Lines

Experiments in human cholangiocarcinoma cell lines KKU-100 and KKU-452 found dose- and time-dependent effects of cannabidiol, cannabigerol and cannabinol on viability, apoptosis, mitochondrial membrane potential and Ki67. Proteomics identified shared targets including LARP1 and TFEB. The work generates mechanisms, not patient-treatment evidence, and does not support self-medication with cannabis products.

Slippery Surfaces and Coatings74IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Multiscale lubricant-infused surfaces with enhanced wetting stability under Multiphysical environmental stresses

Hierarchical silica surfaces infused with PFPE lubricant outperformed superhydrophobic surfaces under pressure, shear, 155 days of ageing at 65°C and high-speed water jets. The multiscale structure acted as a capillary lubricant reservoir. However, PFPE is fluorinated and raises PFAS concerns, so durability does not yet equal an environmentally sustainable real-world coating.

Evidence of global relevance

Comparative Effects of Various Modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in Adolescents: A Systematic Review and Network Meta‐Analysis

A systematic review and network meta-analysis of 22 randomised trials comparing seven CBT-I formats found web-based CBT-I leading several outcomes versus usual care: 33 more minutes of total sleep, 23 fewer minutes to sleep onset, 7% higher sleep efficiency and five points lower insomnia severity. Wake after sleep onset did not differ significantly. Rankings depend on network assumptions and trial quality and do not prescribe one format for every adolescent.

Association of decreased CYP2C9 function, HLA-B*40:06, and hemoglobin levels with phenytoin-induced cutaneous adverse reactions in a Southern Thai population

A Southern Thai case–control study compared 26 patients with phenytoin cutaneous adverse reactions and 78 tolerant controls. Decreased CYP2C9 function was associated with risk (OR 7.89) and HLA-B*40:06 with OR 6.26, alongside lower haemoglobin and higher white-cell counts. No HLA marker survived Bonferroni correction and missing laboratory data prevented multivariable analysis, so these are exploratory signals rather than a ready screening rule.

Synthesis of Silver Phosphate (Ag3PO4) and Its Supplementation to Enhance Phytochemical Accumulation and Antioxidant Activity of Cryptocoryne albida Under Hydroponic Cultivation

Researchers synthesised 300–500 nm Ag3PO4 particles and supplemented hydroponic Cryptocoryne albida at 0, 0.01, 0.10 and 1.00 ppm. At 0.01 ppm, total phenolics, flavonoids and antioxidant assays increased, while 1.00 ppm significantly reduced growth. The narrow experimental dose window does not establish food, environmental or commercial safety.

Rice-Residue Compost and Soil Health67IMPACT SIGNAL

The Properties of Rice Stubble Compost and Its Effects on Okra Yield (Abelmoschus esculentus L.), Nutrient Activation Coefficient, and Organic Carbon Fractions in Soil

A compost experiment combining rice stubble, rock phosphate and cow dung found CP4 (40:30:30) had the most favourable compost properties and produced 97.1 mg/kg available soil phosphorus after okra. Compost increased phosphorus activation and very labile carbon versus control, but compost formulations did not differ in pod yield or N/P uptake. The main signal is soil improvement, not superior yield from one formula.

Silent witnesses: basidiomycota as forensic biomarkers in human decomposition

This conceptual review proposes that Basidiomycota, especially ammonia fungi and late-stage decomposers, may help estimate post-mortem intervals, locate graves and reconstruct scenes because sporocarps and mycelia can persist after some insect evidence. The authors explicitly state that this is not a systematic review and that evidentiary use requires multisite validation.

Multilingual Higher Education76IMPACT SIGNAL
Evidence of global relevance

Thai and international university students’ multilingual experiences and critical language awareness

Five group discussions with 45 students of six nationalities in Bangkok English programmes found flexible multilingual practices. Suggestions that international students should learn Thai also reflected Thai-language hegemony that may constrain English as a lingua franca. Some participants showed critical awareness of non-Thai residents' experiences and monolingual policy. These qualitative interpretations do not estimate national prevalence.

GC content mismatch of transgene destabilizes RNA virus genomes

NanoLuc reporters synonymously engineered to different GC contents were inserted into SARS-CoV-2, Japanese encephalitis virus and hepatitis C virus. Mismatched transgenes were deleted or accumulated substitutions toward the viral genome composition in some viruses, while intermediate-GC JEV maintained variants more stably. GC matching is a recombinant-virus design factor, not patient or vaccine-effectiveness evidence.

From AF to AIF: The Feedback Paradigm Shift in EFL AI-Assisted Writing Pedagogy

This academic article contrasts automated writing-evaluation feedback with generative-AI feedback such as ChatGPT and proposes integrating AIF into process-based writing alongside teacher, peer and learner verification. It organises accuracy, dependence, bias, privacy and ethics across writing stages, but includes no learner trial and does not establish improved skill or safety.

The Influence of Growth and Maturation on Physical Performance and Selection Bias in Academy Female Football Players

Among 56 female academy footballers, maturity offset correlated with 10 m, 30 m and change-of-direction times, but not countermovement jump, reactive strength or relative hip-abductor strength. Post-PHV players were faster than circa-PHV players, and birth-date plus maturation distributions were uneven. This suggests selection bias toward current physical maturity, not greater long-term talent.

Developing a Global Stock Market Terminology List for ESP Learners in Business English: A Corpus-Based Approach

A 10,894,720-token corpus from CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Seeking Alpha, Bloomberg and Barron’s was analysed using keywords, lexical profiles, semantic tags, dictionaries and concordance lines. The resulting Global Stock Market Word List contains 486 technical, semi-technical and supportive items. It is a focused resource, but learning benefits remain untested.
