Antimicrobial Resistance, Serotypes, Virulence Gene Profiles, and Molecular Characterization of Streptococcus suis Isolated from Healthy Pigs in Thailand

Sampling 58 healthy pigs yielded 176 presumptive isolates, of which 60 were confirmed as S. suis. Multidrug resistance and 65.5% seropositivity were reported despite absence of major classical invasive virulence genes. The findings support One Health surveillance but, with a small sample and only two genomes, are not national prevalence or proof of human transmission.

Network Pharmacology and Molecular Docking of Syzygium nervosum Extracts on Antiproliferative Effect in Prostate Cancer

Syzygium nervosum extract reduced viability, colony formation, and cell-cycle progression in DU145 and PC-3 prostate-cancer cells at 25-400 µg/mL. Computation suggested gallic and ellagic acids may interact with AKT and CDK2, but cell and docking evidence does not establish active compounds, direct targets, safety, or efficacy in animals or humans.

Multiplicity Dependence of Prompt and Non-Prompt J/psi Production at Midrapidity in pp Collisions at sqrt(s) = 13 TeV

The ALICE collaboration measured dielectron J/psi production at midrapidity in 13 TeV proton-proton collisions. Both prompt and non-prompt self-normalized yields increased faster than linearly with charged-particle multiplicity, most clearly in the toward region and more weakly in transverse and away regions, constraining heavy-flavor and multi-interaction models.

6β-Acetoxysandaracopimaradien-1α,9α-diol Attenuates LPS-Induced Acute Lung Injury: Association with Alterations in Src, MAPK, and Akt/GSK-3β Signalling

6β-Acetoxysandaracopimaradien-1α,9α-diol (ASPD) reduced cytokines and signaling phosphorylation in LPS-stimulated lung cells and reduced histologic injury, edema, and inflammatory infiltration in an acute-lung-injury mouse model. This supports preclinical Src, MAPK, and Akt/GSK-3β associations, not a human ARDS treatment.

Clinical and physiological outcomes of peroral endoscopic myotomy in Thailand, with a comparative review of Southeast Asian cohorts

A pooled Thai cohort of 127 patients undergoing peroral endoscopic myotomy in 2014-2024 achieved 89.9% clinical success with improved symptom, relaxation-pressure, and timed-barium measures. Comparison with published Singaporean and Malaysian cohorts totaled 250 patients, but cross-study comparison cannot attribute outcome or reflux differences to treatment technique.

Electronic Structure Modulation in Sulfur-Doped g-C3N4 Quantum Dots for Enhanced NO2 Sensing

SCC-DFTB calculations compared NO2, NO, and N2O adsorption on pristine and sulfur-doped g-C3N4 quantum dots. Sulfur at an N-ring site reduced the band gap and produced the strongest NO2 adsorption and electronic response. This identifies a sensor candidate, not an experimentally synthesized, selective, or recoverable device.

Optimized Pretreatment and Preparative Chromatography for Vitexin Purification from Mung Bean Seed Coats

Thai researchers optimized starch removal, extraction, and preparative liquid chromatography to isolate vitexin from mung-bean seed coats, reaching 24.29 mg/g in extract and at least 90% purity at 3 mL/min. This is a laboratory process study and did not test anticancer activity or health benefits.

Effects of nurse-led rehabilitation promotion program on functional capacity and complications in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm surgery: A quasi-experimental study

A matched quasi-experiment in 54 abdominal-aortic-aneurysm surgery patients found 3.19 points higher Barthel scores and fewer complications with nurse-led rehabilitation than standard care. Without randomization and with outcomes only by discharge or day five, residual differences in patients, surgery, and care cannot be excluded.

Rare Gastroesophageal Tumor Subtypes: Clinicopathologic Characteristics, Molecular Alterations, and Therapeutic Implications

This review synthesizes rare upper-gastrointestinal tumor subtypes including squamous variants, lymphoepithelioma-like, adenosquamous, and neuroendocrine carcinomas. Their biology and biomarkers may differ from common cancers, but evidence is mainly small series and treatment is often extrapolated from adenocarcinoma or squamous carcinoma, leaving no single validated algorithm.

Cost-effectiveness of short implants (6–8.5 mm) compared to regular length implants (> 10 mm) with bone regeneration in posterior atrophic mandible: a 8-year microsimulation model

An eight-year Chilean private-payer microsimulation estimated that 6-8.5 mm implants without guided bone regeneration cost less and produced slightly more implant-years than >10 mm implants with vertical GBR. This model uses meta-analysis inputs and Chilean fees; it is not a Thai patient trial or proof that one strategy suits everyone.

Nonlinear energy harvesting analysis of sandwich cylindrical microshells with GPLRC piezoelectric face sheets and FG-TPMS core conveying fluid under hygrothermal environment

A theoretical model describes a sandwich cylindrical microshell with piezoelectric faces, a graphene-reinforced TPMS core, internal fluid, and hygrothermal loading. Parametric results suggest stiffer topology, surface-biased graphene, higher flow velocity, and uniform porosity increase resonance and peak voltage, while heat and moisture soften the structure. No prototype or experiment was reported.

A sticker reminder intervention to promote intravenous-to-oral fluoroquinolone conversion: a cluster-randomized controlled trial

A cluster-randomized trial across 45 Siriraj general wards found that a sticker reminder increased intravenous-to-oral fluoroquinolone conversion from 42.2% to 58.8% among 168 patients. Cure, mortality, stay, and treatment duration did not differ, but the small trial cannot establish clinical equivalence or safety in every subgroup.
