Continuous-time random walks on multi-axial quasi-one-dimensional lattices: A spectral approach

Thai researchers developed a spectral framework for continuous-time random walks on multi-axial quasi-one-dimensional periodic lattices. Projecting the infinite dynamics onto a finite set of inter-cell gateway sites reduces the problem to eigenanalysis of a finite transition matrix. Long-time scaling is universal, while drift and effective diffusion depend on geometry and symmetry.

Performance Analysis of Sigmoid-Enhanced OSPF for Risk-Aware Adaptive Routing in Secure Networks

A Prince of Songkla University Phuket team proposed SE-OSPF, adding topology-derived structural risk to link cost through a tunable sigmoid. On a simulated scale-free network it reduced delay by 19.7% and jitter by 8.6% versus standard OSPF and increased delivered packets by up to 16.6% versus Linear-OSPF, with better load balance. No live-network or adversarial validation is reported.

Cancer risk with methotrexate-TNF antagonist combination therapy compared to TNF-antagonist monotherapy in IBD

A retrospective integrated-health-system cohort compared 2,332 IBD patients receiving anti-TNF alone with 549 receiving anti-TNF plus methotrexate over a mean 3.3 years. Cancer incidence was 6.4 versus 7.4 per 1,000 person-years and adjusted HR 0.94. No difference was detected, but the 95% CI of 0.47-1.89 still permits clinically important benefit or harm.

FREEZE-DRIED BINARY AND TERNARY SOLID DISPERSIONS OF CANNABIDIOL: FORMULATION, CHARACTERIZATION, AND SOLUBILITY ENHANCEMENT

A Naresuan University team developed amorphous solid dispersions of cannabidiol using PVP and surfactants. Optimised ternary formulations containing poloxamer 407 increased solubility by about 11,000-fold, dissolved rapidly and retained amorphous character with over 96% CBD after six months. This solves a formulation problem, not human bioavailability, efficacy or safety.

Analysis of a Fourth-Order Conservative Compact Finite Difference Method for Benjamin–Bona–Mahony–Burgers Equation

A Thai mathematics team proposed a fourth-order implicit compact finite-difference method for the BBMB equation. Order reduction through an auxiliary variable yields a narrow-banded nonlinear system while preserving a discrete conservation law. Boundedness, unique solvability and an optimal maximum-norm error estimate were proved and supported by numerical experiments.

A perspective on Banach and Kannan mappings contracting the perimeter of triangles in interpolative metric spaces

This theoretical article studies mappings that contract triangle perimeters in interpolative metric spaces. It establishes a necessary-and-sufficient fixed-point condition, extends Kannan-type results beyond ordinary metric spaces and proposes a sufficient uniqueness condition with examples. Its contribution is mathematical generalisation rather than empirical evidence.

Evaluation of urea–molasses-treated rice straw as a partial replacement for Brachiaria mutica in diets of growing Boer crossbred goats

A five-goat Latin-square trial in the Mekong Delta replaced para grass with urea-molasses-treated rice straw at 0-100%. Higher levels improved some digestibility measures but reduced intake, daily gain and feed conversion. Growth did not differ between 0% and 25%, suggesting moderate use during forage shortages rather than complete replacement.

Unveiling freshwater fungi from the Hanjiang River Basin in South China: Introducing Neolindgomyces guttulatus sp. nov. (Lindgomycetaceae, Pleosporales)

A downstream Hanjiang River collection in China had distinctive morphology and multilocus phylogeny, supporting Neolindgomyces guttulatus as a new species and the first Chinese freshwater record of the genus. The work expands fungal diversity knowledge but does not establish ecological function or distribution.

Biomechanical constraints of excessive adiposity on smartphone-derived directional acceleration and dynamic balance during unilateral sit-to-stand transitions in young adults

Sixty young women completed five single-leg sit-to-stand transitions with a smartphone at S2. The highest-body-fat group took longer and showed different anteroposterior, mediolateral and vertical accelerations than the normal-fat group, while total acceleration did not differ. Smartphone sensing may be a low-cost movement measure, not a diagnostic test or proof of causation.

Longitudinal changes and risk factors of Opisthorchis viverrini infection after selective praziquantel treatment: evidence from urine antigen assay and fecal examination in an endemic community in Northeast Thailand

A 24-week prospective cohort of 612 people in a northeastern Thai endemic community found baseline prevalence of 41.0% by urine antigen versus 8.1% by faecal examination, with roughly tenfold higher incidence and reinfection estimates from the urine assay. Raw-fish consumption in the previous six months carried an adjusted risk ratio of 7.52. Drug treatment alone will not interrupt transmission if behavioural and environmental exposure persists.

Comparative in vitro evaluation of fourth-generation anti-GPC3 CAR T-cells in hepatocellular carcinoma

A Siriraj team compared second-, third- and fourth-generation anti-GPC3 CAR T cells. Among 195 HCC biopsies, 82.6% were GPC3-positive, and the fourth-generation construct showed the strongest killing in monolayer and spheroid models, with antigen-dependent proliferation and a moderated acute cytokine profile. All efficacy evidence remains in vitro.

ML-Based Feasibility-Prediction for NB-IoT Smart Metre Deployment in Thailand: A Cross-Environment Multi-Site Study

Using Thai channel measurements, classifiers predicted whether NB-IoT would achieve 95% RSRP coverage across 411 cells at four sites. Gradient Boosting reached 0.971 accuracy, 0.969 F1 and 1.7 ms inference, far faster than Monte Carlo. However, training labels came from Monte Carlo under the same assumed channel model, so this emulates simulation rather than proving field-deployment accuracy.
