[(Bromomethyl)phenyl]methyl-Conjugated Chalcone Derivatives as Potential Lung Cancer Inhibitors: Structure Modification, Molecular Docking, Molecular Dynamics and In Vitro Validation

Researchers modified dimethyl cardamonin into derivatives 2a and 2b and evaluated them in lung-cancer cells, docking and molecular dynamics. Both inhibited NCI-H460 cells at IC50 values near 8 micromolar and were less toxic to MRC-5 cells than osimertinib in this assay, but direct EGFR-mediated action was not demonstrated.

Experiential learning in disaster psychiatry: a qualitative study of medical students’ reflections on clinical reasoning, empathy, and professional identity

Reflective narratives from 16 supervised medical students during a southern Thai flood response emphasized food, shelter, safety and medication access as foundations of mental-health care, alongside attentive listening, regulated empathy, family context and professional identity.

Air Pollution-Related Mortality in Bangkok: A Time-Series Neural Network Analysis

A 2016-2020 Bangkok time-series analysis used RNN, LSTM and GRU models to relate six pollutants to daily mortality. A 23-day-lag LSTM was reported as the best model, while SHAP emphasised humidity, PM2.5 and ozone overall. Prediction does not equal causal attribution of deaths to pollution.

Preliminary exploration on using entropy-weighted hybrid pooling in CNN for ultrasound breast cancer detection

A preliminary study proposed entropy-weighted hybrid pooling for CNN classification of 9,016 public breast-ultrasound images. The three-block model averaged 93.98% accuracy and 0.987 AUC, slightly above max pooling, but hybrid pooling did not win in the four-block model, so general superiority is not established.

Metabolomic Alterations Associated with Adjunctive Hydrogen Gas Inhalation During Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy in Locally Advanced Head and Neck Cancer: A Pilot Study

A randomised pilot trial in 20 patients with locally advanced head-and-neck cancer compared standard concurrent chemoradiotherapy with added hydrogen inhalation and explored pre-post metabolomics. Moderate toxicities and treatment delays were numerically fewer with hydrogen, but differences were not significant and only 19 participants were evaluable.

Modeling the Distribution and Habitat Suitability of Slipper Orchids (Paphiopedilum spp.) in Thailand Using MaxEnt

A MaxEnt model using 70 slipper-orchid presence records and 10 predictors achieved training AUC 0.858 and test AUC 0.751. Slope (30.2%), driest-quarter rainfall (22.8%) and warmest-month maximum temperature (17.4%) were most influential, with northern mountain and southern karst hotspots.

Dietary Olextra enhances disease resistance and hypoxia tolerance in juvenile Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei)

Shrimp fed 0.3% Olextra for 45 days showed 89.38% survival versus 79.06% in controls, with no significant weight or FCR difference. Survival after V. parahaemolyticus or hypoxia challenge improved, and Vibrio counts fell in hepatopancreas and intestine.

Using 5K and PPP+P of Chaiyaphruek Model for Furniture Design Course

A 16-week furniture-design course using the 5K and PPP+P two-way communication model reported mean scores rising from 3.14 to 4.93 and a 0.29-point advantage over a traditional approach. It suggests feasibility, but sample and comparison details are limited.

Self-esteem and inner strengths: a network study in Thai university students with borderline personality disorder symptoms

This psychological network study examined conditional associations between self-esteem and ten culturally grounded inner strengths in 346 Thai university students who screened positive for borderline personality disorder symptoms. The most robust pattern linked generosity with loving-kindness, while self-esteem was consistently connected with determination and equanimity.

Assessment of growth and pain trajectories for children and adolescents receiving chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia in Northern Thailand using group-based trajectory modeling

Group-based trajectory modelling in 88 children and adolescents with ALL identified four weight classes and three BMI and pain classes. About three quarters began with high pain that generally declined; ages 6-15 were associated with higher weight, BMI and pain trajectories.
