Two New Ophiocordyceps Species (Hypocreales: Ophiocordycipitaceae) From the Southern Philippines: Ophiocordyceps rogongonensis Associated With Cicada Nymphs and Ophiocordyceps xylostellae Associated With the Diamondback Moth

Mycological surveys in Northern Mindanao, Philippines, led to two proposed new species: Ophiocordyceps rogongonensis from cicada nymphs and O. xylostellae from diamondback moth. The descriptions integrate morphology with phylogenies from five loci.

Associations Between Dietary Patterns, Nutrient Intake, and Serum Biomarkers in Community-Dwelling Older Adults in Northern Thailand: A Cross-Sectional Study

A cross-sectional study of 117 older adults in Lampang and Chiang Mai identified four patterns: diverse traditional, processed staple-based, tropical fruit, and Western high-fat/high-sweet diets. The traditional group had higher fiber and lower total cholesterol than the tropical-fruit and Western groups.

Deep and machine learning in plant variety classification: A systematic global review of image processing approaches

A PRISMA-guided systematic review synthesized 83 studies from 2015-2025 on image-based plant-variety classification. Deep learning, especially convolutional neural networks, dominated and often reported high accuracy, while handcrafted features and optimization methods could still improve robustness.

Skip Segment Hirschsprung's Disease: Report of A Rare Case and Literature Review

A term male newborn with distal intestinal obstruction was initially diagnosed with total colonic aganglionosis and received an ileostomy. At 30 months, repeat imaging and biopsies identified an intervening ganglionated segment, allowing a revised pull-through operation tailored to the actual anatomy.

Prognostic Value Of The Pretreatment Ratio Of Albumin To Alkaline Phosphatase In Patients With Oral Cavity Carcinoma

A retrospective study of 327 completely treated oral squamous-cell carcinoma patients from 2008-2018 evaluated pretreatment albumin-to-alkaline phosphatase ratio. A cutoff of 0.52 did not significantly distinguish overall or disease-free survival and was not an independent prognostic factor.
