Relating auxiliary field formulations of 4d duality-invariant and 2d integrable field theories

This mathematical-physics paper relates auxiliary-field formulations that generate model families while preserving electromagnetic duality in four dimensions and classical integrability in two. It shows that formulations are governed by Legendre transforms of interaction functions plus field redefinitions, and extends a μ-frame to several sigma models.

Effects of robotic pelvic guidance and visual feedback designs on upper body seated coordination and sense of agency in virtual reality

A 2×2 randomised experiment in 32 healthy adults compared active pWRAPS pelvic guidance with transparent mode and two visual-feedback designs during VR reaching. Guidance improved performance and pelvis-trunk-hand coordination without reducing sense of agency, but this is not yet rehabilitation evidence in stroke, cerebral palsy or spinal-cord injury.

Microwave-Assisted Maleation of Coconut Husk Nanolignin: Structure–Property Relationships Governed by Degree of Esterification

Researchers ethanol-fractionated coconut-husk lignin, selected CNF1 and performed microwave-assisted maleation across temperatures and maleic-anhydride ratios. Esterification peaked at 180°C and 1:10, improving thermo-oxidative stability while reducing antioxidant activity as phenolic hydroxyl groups declined, revealing an application-dependent trade-off.

TEMPO-mediated oxidation of starch: A review

This review examines TEMPO-mediated oxidation of starch C6-OH groups into aldehyde or carboxyl functionalities to enhance hydrophilicity, gelation, encapsulation and release. It compares conventional NaClO/NaBr, bromide-free and laccase-TEMPO routes and stresses joint control of oxidation degree, molecular-weight loss and granule structure.

Placement and Rate of Cricket Frass Regulate Fertility Restoration and Chinese Kale Biomass in Tropical Acidic Sandy Soil

A greenhouse test compared surface placement versus incorporation of cricket frass at 3.125, 6.25 and 12.5 t/ha in acidic sandy soil. At the highest rate, incorporation produced 7.16 g shoot dry mass per plant versus 4.78 g for surface placement and 1.70 g for control, with improved nutrients, microbial activity and lower exchangeable acidity.

Selective reduction of major egg white allergens (Gal d 1–4) by cold atmospheric plasma: Structural insights and processing optimization

A central-composite optimisation of cold atmospheric plasma for liquid egg white found that 1-mm thickness for three minutes reduced assay immunoreactivity of Gal d 4, 2, 1 and 3 by 70%, 68%, 52% and 6%, respectively, with RONS-driven structural change. Reduced assay binding does not show that egg-allergic people can safely consume it.

Effect of Cosmetic Whitening Ingredients’ Lipophilicity on Melanocyte Cytotoxicity: A Systematic Review

A systematic review of 11 articles and 18 cosmetic-whitening ingredients derived MTT IC50 values and compared them with cLogP. The overall positive relationship was modest (R²=0.3263), and seven ingredients had IC50 below 50 micrograms/mL. Heterogeneous cell lines, media, exposure times and assays prevent this from being a human safety ranking.

Machine Learning-Based Prediction of CO2 Solubility in Deep Eutectic Solvents

This study compares machine-learning algorithms and molecular representations for predicting carbon-dioxide solubility in deep eutectic solvents. It uses 2,648 experimental measurements from 93 hydrogen-bond acceptor–donor systems and reports the best test performance from a structural-code random forest.

A hybrid machine learning framework with two-step feature selection for identifying key biomarkers and drug targets in monkeypox

This bioinformatics study combines two-stage feature selection with a neural classifier to identify candidate Mpox-associated genes from two microarray datasets and one RNA-seq dataset, followed by network analyses and molecular docking.
